Ahhh, my first post! I have been looking forward so much to starting a blog, and now I come to sit and write my first post I have no idea where to start. I am going to assume that at some point someone who doesn't know me, but loves my blog ;) will be reading this and wondering 'Who is this person?' Well, long story short, I am a Scottish immigrant, living in Illinois and trying to raise an intelligent, well adjusted daughter. In short, I am trying my hardest not to not screw up.
I may as well place a warning now, I occasionally swear, I have adequate spelling, and below par grammar (I am hoping to improve). I have a tendency to either ramble or rant, and I am pretty sure I would have been classified as a nerd if I had went to school in the US.
So imperfections aside, my main reason to blog is I love to make things! I hate to get to the end of a week and not having something to look at and say 'well, at least I have this done'. I am a self taught cook, baker, seamstress, and crafter. I have learned a lot from other bloggers, and would never have been able to complete half of my craft projects, without their inspiration and tips.
OK, that seems to be enough of an introduction, my next post will be my current project - Crayon Holders!
